Your Own Room. Every Trip. No Extra Charge

Private rooms are standard on every Her Wild Life expedition – included in the price, not charged as an upgrade.

Some operators include shared rooms as standard and offer a private room as an upgrade. Some use roommate matching systems to pair solo travelers together. Her Wild Life does neither. Your own room is included in the expedition price on every departure, for every traveler. There is no single supplement. There are no exceptions.

Why Private Rooms Matter on a Wildlife Expedition

Her Wild Life expeditions are built around field timing. That means early starts, full days outdoors, and conditions that vary. After a day like that, your own room is where you come back to. No one else’s schedule. No shared bathroom at 5am. Just your own space, and a proper night’s sleep before the next day in the field. That is why private rooms are standard in every departure from the start – not offered as an upgrade once you have already committed.

How This Compares to Other Women’s Travel Options

Accommodation arrangements vary across women’s travel operators. Some include shared rooms as standard, with private rooms available as an upgrade. Some have single supplement charges that apply to solo travelers. Some use roommate matching to help solo travelers share costs. Her Wild Life includes private rooms as standard on every departure with no added cost.

Private Room FAQs

Is there really no single supplement on any Her Wild Life expedition?

Correct. Private rooms are standard on every Her Wild Life departure. The trip price is the same whether you are traveling solo or with a friend. There is no single supplement and no upgrade fee for having your own room.

What if I want to share a room with someone I am traveling with?

If you are traveling with a friend and would prefer to share a room, reach out to us when you inquire, and we can discuss double room options for your specific departure. Shared rooms are available on request – they are just not required.

What standard of accommodation can I expect?

Accommodation varies by destination and expedition. Her Wild Life selects lodges and properties based on comfort, location relative to the wildlife, and the overall feel of the trip. Our women’s wildlife expedition pages list the specific accommodation for that departure. If you have questions about what to expect on a particular trip, ask us before you book.

Can I upgrade my room?

Room upgrade options vary by property and departure. If you have specific accommodation preferences, mention them when you inquire, and we will let you know what is available for your trip.

Do all departures guarantee private rooms regardless of group size?

Yes. Private rooms are guaranteed on every Her Wild Life expedition regardless of group size or departure date. It is not dependent on how many women are booked. Whether you are joining one of our women’s adventure travel departures as a solo traveler or with a friend, your room is yours.

What should I pack for a Her Wild Life expedition?

What you bring depends on the destination and the time of year – layering for Yellowstone in October looks very different from packing for whale sharks in Mexico in August. For a full breakdown of what to pack on a wildlife expedition, including gear, clothing, and field essentials, read our guide: What to Pack for a Wildlife Trip as a Woman.
